Sinse 5th of May is “Childs' day” in Japan, we held a special class on 24th of April.
We had our conversation class students introduced “Childs day” of the their own country .
There were some students who did not have a “Child's day” in their countries,
so some talked about child matters such as educational programs of their country.
We heard a lot of interesting talks from each speakers!
On April 3rd, with cooperation from the Disaster Prevention Department of Suginami region, we had a special class in a truck designed to experience earthquake.
This truck had devices which made us feel similar circumstances as if we were actually experiencing an earthquake.
This will be our 9th year to have this special class held in Mabashi Park, just a 5 minute walk from our classroom. Students who comes from countries that does not have earthquake in their own countries, seems to be a good learning process to know more about disaster prevention.
When in time of earthquake, be calm and act to protect our most important part of our body, “our heads”
Put our heads under the desk, grab the desk in one hand and hold the floor with the other.
And now, EXPERIENCE!
Japan is a country with many earthquakes.
It is very important to prepare for it whenever it might come.
To the Disaster Prevention Department of Suginami region, thank you always for your cooperation!
On 13th of March we had another special class, “Flower arrangement”.
Many of our morning and afternoon class students experienced flower arrangement,
under instructions from our flower master.
There were many who experienced flower arrangements probably for the first time, but they were all incredibly good!
And these were some of the flower arrangements created by the pupils!
After the arrangement was finished we had time to look over the work and traded
opinions toward each pieces.
We took photos of the flowers together with the ones who created them.
Flowers makes people smile.
The ones that brought back their flowers back to their homes, did they arrange them successfully in their own homes?
We hope that the pupils felt a little bit closer to the world of flower arrangement.
To flower arrangement master, thank you always for your instructions!
